November in Naples: How We're Spending the First Month of Season

The galas, performances, and local rituals worth your time this month, from two Naples natives.
October 23, 2026

Every local knows the feeling. Sometime in early November, the humidity finally breaks, the first morning hits 68 degrees, and suddenly everyone you know is back. The snowbirds land, the restaurants stop taking walk-ins at 7pm, and the social calendar goes from quiet to completely full in about a week.

We grew up here, so November has always felt like the real start of the year. Here is our edit of what's actually worth your time this month: the big nights, the giving, the time on the water, and the small rituals that make Naples feel like Naples.

The Evenings Worth Dressing For

All three are at Hayes Hall at Artis Naples, which is reason enough to plan dinner nearby and make a night of it.

David Foster and Katharine McPhee with the Naples Philharmonic | Monday, November 16
If you only book one night out this month, make it this one. Foster at the piano, McPhee on vocals, and the stories behind the songs he wrote for Whitney, Céline, and Josh Groban. It's the kind of Monday that ruins every other Monday.

Gulfshore Opera presents Madama Butterfly | Saturday, November 14
Puccini, with the full Naples Philharmonic behind it. Black tie isn't required, but nobody will stop you.

Hamilton | November 24 to 29
Yes, it's coming to Naples, and yes, it runs over Thanksgiving week. If you have family in town and you're out of ideas after the second round of leftovers, this is your answer. Book now.

Give Back: The Charity Calendar

Naples is one of the most generous communities in the country, and November is when the philanthropic season really opens. A few on our radar:

Cherish the Children Luncheon | Thursday, November 5 | The Ritz-Carlton, Naples (Beach)
Benefiting Youth Haven, which shelters and supports abused, neglected, and homeless children and teens in Southwest Florida. There's also a raffle for a Chopard Happy Sport timepiece, and you don't need to be present to win.

Celebration of Philanthropy | Friday, November 6 | Arthrex One
Collier Community Foundation's annual luncheon honoring the people and nonprofits who quietly hold this town together, including the announcement of this year's $250,000 Provol Award Grant recipient.

Gifted! Pop-Up Holiday Shopping for a Cause | Saturday, November 14 | Naples Woman's Club
Free to attend, and the easiest way to cross off half your holiday list while doing some good. Go early.

Our honest take: if you're new to Naples, the charity circuit is one of the fastest ways to actually meet people here. Pick one or two causes you care about and show up consistently. It matters more than the ticket price.

Get Outside (Finally)

This is the month we wait all summer for. Spend as much of it outdoors as humanly possible.

A boat day to Keewaydin Island
No bridge, no cars, no condos. Just one of the last undeveloped barrier islands on the coast, reachable only by boat. Pack lunch, anchor on the bay side, and watch for dolphins on the ride down. If you don't have a boat, charter one. Worth it.

Sunset at the Naples Pier
A cliché for a reason. Grab a coffee or a glass of wine downtown, walk out at golden hour, and stay for the clapping when the sun drops. Locals still do it, and we're not embarrassed.

The Clam Pass boardwalk
Three-quarters of a mile through the mangroves to one of the quietest beaches in town. Take the tram if you're carrying chairs. Walk it if you need the steps.

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary
A morning on the Audubon boardwalk under centuries-old bald cypress is the best reset we know. Go early, bring binoculars, leave your phone in your pocket.

Golf season is officially on
Courses are green, mornings are cool, and tee sheets fill fast. If you're figuring out where to play (or where to join), ask us for our Naples golf guide.

For the Whole Family

Free Community Day at Artis Naples | Sunday, November 8, 1 to 5pm
Free, kid-friendly, and a great low-key introduction to the campus. The Youth Symphonia and Youth Chorus also perform their fall concerts that afternoon.

Turkey Run at Eagle Lakes Community Park | Saturday, November 21, 8am
A $10 family fun run on a 2.25-mile trail loop in East Naples. The overall winner takes home a ham. We're not joking.

Naples Gobble Gobble | Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26 | The Village Shops on Venetian Bay
The Thanksgiving tradition for half of Naples, with a timed four-mile race, a fun run, and a Lil' Gobbler's dash for the little ones. Proceeds benefit St. Matthew's House and Kids on the Go. Costumes strongly encouraged. Pie fully earned.

Night Lights in the Garden | Opens Friday, November 27 | Naples Botanical Garden
The Garden lit up after dark is one of the prettiest things this town does all year. Non-member tickets go on sale November 2 and the good nights go fast. For a true splurge, book the private Sunset Tram Tour for up to 12 guests. It's an unforgettable way to host visiting family.

Culture by Daylight

The Surrealist International: Fifty Years of Dreams | The Baker Museum | Through February 14, 2027
The headline exhibition of the season. Pair it with Florida Contemporary 2026-27 and Linling Lu's Fugue in 3 Voices, both on view now.

Art After Hours | Wednesday, November 25, 6 to 9pm | The Baker Museum
Free admission and local musicians the night before Thanksgiving. A very civilized way to escape the kitchen.

The Naples Players
Rocket Man runs through November 22, and Come From Away runs through December 20. Community theater in name only. These productions are excellent.

Where We're Eating

Season means reservations, so plan ahead. A few of our very specific orders:

  • Barbatella: the baked eggplant Parmigiana. Our favorite dish in Naples, full stop.
  • Truluck's: the crab fried rice.
  • Molto: the ravioli.
  • Ichi Togarashi: the khao soi.
  • Amore: the penne alla vodka.
  • Grappino: the bomboloni. Do not skip dessert.
  • D'Romos: the cannoli, to go, for the car.

Evening on Fifth | Thursday, November 12, 6:30 to 9:30pm
Live music up and down Fifth Avenue South. Grab a table outside, order something cold, and people-watch like it's your job.

USA TODAY Wine & Food Experience | Saturday, November 14, 12 to 4pm | Paradise Coast Sports Complex
Big tastings, chef stations, and a full afternoon. Wear flats. Trust us.

Saturday mornings at the Third Street South Farmers Market | 7:30 to 11:30am
Get there early, get your coffee, buy flowers you don't need. This is the most Old Naples way to start a weekend, and it's been our ritual for years.

A Quick Note for Buyers Coming Down This Season

November is when a lot of our out-of-town buyers arrive, spend a week falling in love with Naples, and start asking the real questions. Which neighborhoods hold value? How much does a flood zone change the math? Is that renovated home actually renovated? Those answers are rarely the same on paper as they are in person.

That's what we're here for. If you're in town this month and want to see how Naples actually lives, from Old Naples walks to a sunset drive through Port Royal, reach out. We'd love to show you around.
